Gloria Jean Smith

Mrs. Gloria Jean Greenway Smith, age 68 of Calhoun, died Saturday June 7, 2014 in Gordon Health Care following an extended period of declining health.

Mrs. Smith was born in Kannapolis, NC on October 11, 1945, daughter of the late Sim Greenway and Ruth Compton Greenway.

Survivors include her husband Richard Smith, to whom she was married for 27 years; a son, Brent Guyton of Resaca; a brother, Roger Greenway and his wife Linda of Canton; four sisters, Marilyn Robinson of Acworth, Joyce Trimble and her husband Richard of Calhoun, Paulette Luke and her husband Mike of Marietta, and Louise Stewart and her husband Dale of Orange City, Florida; along with nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gloria Jean Smith will be conducted Monday, June 9th at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Music will be arranged by the Darnell Family. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving will include Craig Trimble, Larry Trimble, Walt Robinson, Spencer Teague, Jim Jordan and Bill Greenway.

The Smith family will receive friends on Sunday, June 8th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
