Goldie Lee Walraven Bennett

Goldie Lee Walraven Bennett, 85, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024. She was born on September 5, 1939, to the late Bee and Louise Walraven. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bennett; brothers, Floyd Walraven and Loyd Walraven; sisters, Daisy Best, Doris Walraven, and Ethel Walraven. 

Goldie is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Diane Poarch, Steve Poarch; grandchildren, Jeremy and Audrey Poarch, Brittany Smith; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Lucas, and Ali; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Murray County. Pallbearers are Jeremy Poarch, Hayden Poarch, Freddie Faith, Jacob Silvers, and Chris Rich.
