Grady Keeney

Mr. Grady Lee Keeney, age 77 of Centre, Alabama, passed away Wednesday December 25, 2013 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. He was born July 5, 1936, son of the late Grover Columbus Keeney and the late Bertha Mae Quarles Keeney.

He had been employed in the textile industry for Galey and Lord. He was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Keeney was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas, Roy, Howard and Grover Columbus Keeney Jr.; and two sisters, Helen Clayton and Roxie Meadows.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Beverly Touchstone Keeney; two sons, William Keeney of Calhoun and Thomas Keeney of Shannon; four daughters, Sarah Shuler and Carole Head, both of Calhoun, Marsha Lee of Augusta, and Katie Neese of Shannon; a brother, Frank Keeney of Rome, GA; two sisters, Martha Choates of Resaca and Claire Kilgore of Ranger; thirteen grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Mr. Grady Lee Keeney will be conducted Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Douglas Lee officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
