Obituary

Gregory Lee "Greg" Kirby, Sr., 52, of Resaca, GA, died Thursday, September 27, 2018. He was born in Whitfield County on May 21, 1966. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Trammell Monroe Kirby, and grandfather, Sam Smith.
Greg enjoyed traveling in his big rig, as well as spending time with family and being a Pawpaw. He was a great father and friend and will truly be missed.
He is survived by his mother, Joanne Smith Long, and step-father, Willie Long; daughters, Talisa (Kirby) Babb, and Joanna Kirby; his son, Michael Babb, Jr. (Gregory Kirby, Jr.); three grandsons, Jayvid and Rayden Hunt, and Xavier Babb; brother, Chris Seabolt; and grandmother, Beulah Walraven Pack.
Services to honor the life of Gregory Lee Kirby will be held Monday, October 1st at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Frank Bramblett and Rev. Jimmy Black officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery in Resaca. Music will be arranged by Tammy Miller. Pallbearers serving will include Jimmy Black, Jr., Chris Seabolt, Roy Gaddis, Craig Kirby, Ben Hunt, Jr., and Greg Andrews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 30th from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
