Gregory Rosevear

Mr. Gregory "Buddy" Rosevear, age 56 of Rydal, GA passed away Tuesday July 19, 2011 from injuries received in a motorcycle accident in March of 2011.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Mr. Rosevear was born in Montrose, PA., May 5, 1955. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Herne Rosevear, and a brother, Tom Rosevear.

After graduation from Montrose High School in 1973, he joined the U.S. Army and served four years. After fulfilling his obligation he was honorably discharged and attended Georgia College in Milledgeville, GA. For the past 30 years he has been affiliated in the hospitality industry. At the time of his accident he was employed with the Darden Restaurant Group as a Managing Partner for Longhorn Steakhouse in Rome, GA. He was a member of the Etowah Sportsman Club, where he served on the Board of Directors, past president of the West Laurens Band Booster Club, and was a member of the Dublin Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Bradshaw Rosevear, to whom he was married 33 years; a daughter, Ashley Rosevear Stephens and her husband Matthew of Cape Coral, FL; a grandson, Kellen Stephens; a brother, Terry Rosevear and his wife Pat of Montrose, PA; and a sister, Judy Gunshannon and her husband Bill of Scranton, PA. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

A service to celebrate the life of Gregory "Buddy" Rosevear will be held Friday July 22, 2011 at 1:30 PM from Calhoun First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Brian Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Cemetery in Montrose, PA Sunday, July 24th, with Rev. Ben Robinson officiating.

The Rosevear family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday evening between the hours of 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM.
