Gwen Ray Reeves

Gwen Ray Reeves, 69, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025. She was born in Cartersville, Georgia, on April 27, 1955, to the late C.J. and Doris Faye Cornett Ray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Faye Ray; and brother-in-law, Jerry Hackney.

She was a member of the 1973 graduating class of Fairmount High School, and before retirement she was employed as executive secretary at Goodyear Incorporated. She was of the Christian faith and was a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Reeves; two daughters, Tracy Gentry and Rebecca Dobson; one son, Ray Reeves; grandchildren, Blake Gentry & Brittany Bryant, Brandon Gentry, and Logan Dobson; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Gentry, and Berkley Gentry; sisters and brother-in-law, Janice Hackney, Cindy and Kirt Moss.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bobby Reeves, Tommy Reeves, Kurt Sutherland, Bobby Ray, Billy Ray, Jordan Vinall, and Jimmy Norrell.
