Haden Ponder

Mr. Haden Ponder, age 73 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Gordon Hospital following several years of declining health. He was a native of Gordon County, born on April 27, 1939 to the late Charlie and Winifred Moss Ponder, and was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Annette Ponder on February 7, 2012; and a brother, Kenneth Ponder.

Haden is survived by his three children, Scott Ponder and his wife Lisa of Cartersville, Jeff Ponder of Calhoun, and Robin Harkins and her husband Bruce of Calhoun; and grandchildren, Cody Ponder, Emily Ponder, Logan Ponder, Joshua Harkins, and Seth Harkins. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Haden Ponder will be held Saturday, March 30th at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Haven of Rest Memorial Park with Rev. Larry Hibberts officiating. Active pallbearers will include Ken Greeson, Jan Greeson, Jason Ponder, Cody Ponder, Joshua Harkins, and Logan Ponder.

The Ponder family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
