Hank Roger Cansler, 60, of Calhoun died at his home on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 following several months of declining health. Hank was born in Jasper, Georgia on January 27, 1956, son of the late Luther Henry Cansler, and is survived by his mother, Sue Carver Cansler. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Mae Buttrum; and his brothers, Tracey Cansler and Steve Cansler. Prior to his retirement, Hank worked for Fafnir Bearings, Inc.
Along with his mother, Sue, Hank is survived by his brother, Brett Cansler; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie and Dale Hall, Sheila and Jimmy Henson, Lisa Young, and Phyllis and Wendell Brackett; his special friends, Jenny Hamrick, Teresa Blalock, Susie Pasley, and Joan Weaver; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The Cansler family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 16, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, November 17 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Rev. Herman Mulkey will officiate. Pallbearers are Terry Freeman, Howard Brown, Wendell Brackett, Chaise Holloway, Brian Hall, and Derek Hall.
