Hansel Dutton

Mr. Hansel Dutton age 86 of the Erwin Hill Community died Friday March 23rd at his residence following several years of declining health. Mr. Dutton was born in Gordon County on April 15, 1925 and was the son of the late Gordon Luther and Blondia Lula Wyatt Dutton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sybil Mathis Dutton on November 29, 2011 and by four brothers; Melvin, J.C., Otto and Ottis Dutton and by four sisters; Ida Stephens, Onell Payne, Edith Downer and Jewel Wright. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Mannington and he was a member of Erwin Hill Church of God.

Mr. Dutton is survived by three daughters; Patricia Dutton Bailey of Adairsville, Cindy Dutton Edwards and her husband Terry of Adairsville and Pam Dutton McEntyre and her husband Dale of Calhoun and by two sons; Sam Dutton and his wife Sharon of Arnoldsville, GA. and Troy Dutton and his wife Cynthia of Adairsville, GA. The grandchildren include; Justin Edwards and his wife Courtney, Zachary Edwards and his wife Olivia, Gene Bailey and his wife Tammy, Chanda Padgett and her husband David, Jonathan McEntyre and his wife Sarah, Andrew McEntyre and his wife Jessica, Amanda Samples and her husband Sean, Maggie Dutton, Kari Wang and her husband Damiao, Greg Bailey, Caitlin Dutton and Lee Dutton. Great-Grandchildren; Elijah and Ezekiel Padgett; Katie and Rori Bailey, Jackson Howard, Claire McEntyre, Applyn McEntyre and two that are un-born, Declan Wang and Miss McEntyre. along with a host of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Hansel Dutton will be held Monday March 26th at 2:00 PM from Erwin Hill Church of God with Rev. Ron Carver, Rev. J.W. Timms, and Rev. Jeff Dutton officiating. Dr. James Shope will conduct the service at the graveside in the Erwin Hill Church of God Cemetery. The body will be placed in state at the church from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Music will be arranged by the Iris Parker Family and Zach and Justin Edwards. Pallbearers serving will include; Jackie Dutton, Danny Dutton, Buddy Payne, Bobby Payne, Roger Mathis and Rodney Mathis. Honorary pallbearers include; Tommy Stephens, Kenneth Dutton, Larry Dutton, Keith Dutton and Steve Dutton.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Sunday from 3:00pm until 8:00pm.
