Harlan Crump

Mr. Harlan Neal Crump age 73 of Calhoun, passed away Monday July 5, 2010.

Mr. Crump was born on March 4, 1937 son of the late Andrew Neal Crump and the late Pearl Victoria Sisson Crump. He was owner and operator of Designer Mat since 1968 and was a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church.

Mr. Crump is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Evelyn M. Massingill Crump; by his three loving children, Neal and Patricia Crump of Calhoun, Derrall and Larry Culberson of Adairsville and Darlene and Rusty McCain of Lawrenceville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Margie Crump and Carl and Jerri Crump all of Calhoun; a sister, Clara Silvers of Calhoun; grandchildren, Kip and Jennifer Crump, Kristen and Brandon Williams, Larry Culberson, Blake Culberson, Mandy McCain, Matt McCain and Mitch McCain and a great grandchild, Keylee Williams; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Hugh and Frances Massingill, Juanita and John Massingill, Dot and Bob Vaughan, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Harlan Neal Crump will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Blackwood Springs Baptist Church with Rev. John Massingill officiating. Burial will follow in Blackwood Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers serving will include Kip Crump, Larry Culberson, Blake Culberson, Mitch and Matt McCain, Brandon Williams and Gerome Crump and Mark Massingill. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:45 a.m. Honorary pallbearers will include Johnny Washington, Hughdon Sanford, Paul Barton, Donald Hopper, Lamar Oxford, Terry McDougall, Jimmy Edwards, Ricky and Drew Atkinson and Donald Hagan. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the church on Wednesday at 12:45 p.m. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m.
