Harold Lee Gallman

Mr. Harold Lee Gallman, age 81 of Calhoun, died Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Redmond Regional Medical Center following several months declining health. He was a native of Gordon County, born on July 27, 1932 to the late Marvin Daniel Gallman and the late Clara Elders Gallman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, the late Vennie Mae Bagley Gallman in 1981; two daughters, Carol Lynn Gallman in 1962, and Deborah (Debo) Gallman Parker on June 3, 2013; a brother, Clarence Daniel Gallman; and a sister, Opal Inez Waldrop.

Mr. Gallman was retired from Carriage Industries, and was a member of Curryville Baptist Church.

He leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Gail Griffith Gallman of the residence; four sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Linda Gallman, Jacky and Sherry Gallman, David and Teri Phillips, all of Calhoun, and Barry and Courtney Phillips of Dalton; two daughters and sons-in-law. Sharon and Tony Miller, and Karen and Ronnie Muse, all of Calhoun; a son-in-law, Herbert Parker of Calhoun; a brother, Larry Gallman of Calhoun; a sister and brother-in-law, Jeannette and Donald Cochran of Calhoun; and a sister-in-law, Mary Faye Gallman of Calhoun. Grandchildren surviving are Robert Miller, Alan Gallman, Jason Gallman, Brent Parker, Brian Parker, Brian Phillips, Sonja Vaughn, Kenny Gallman, Renee Gramling, Tiffany Curbow, Terry Phillips, and Joey Muse. Sixteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Harold Lee Gallman will be held Monday, September 30th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Hibberts, Rev. Steven Cochran, and Rev. Randy Davis officiating. Music will be arranged by David Phillips and Cassandra Parker. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Active pallbearers are grandsons and include Robert Miller, Brent Parker, Brian Parker, Kenny Gallman, Alan Gallman, Joey Muse, Jason Gallman, and Brian Phillips. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Gramling, Michael Curbow, Terry Phillips, and Stacy Cochran.

The Gallman family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home beginning Saturday after 4:00 PM and continuing through Sunday.
