Mr. Harry Lee (Buster) Meadows, age 79 of Calhoun, passed away Friday, August 6, 2010 at Calhoun Health Care following an extended illness.
He was born in Gordon County on March 15, 1931, son of the late Elias S. Meadows and the late Lula Phillips Meadows. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Rembert Meadows, John Meadows, and Ralph Meadows; and four sisters, Belle McClurd, Ruth Wofford, Mae Ellis, and Dardy Redockovich.
Mr. Meadows was employed for many years as a shoe repairman with Diprima's Shoes, and was a veteran, serving his country in the US Air Force. He was a member of the Echota Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of three years, Patricia Bagwell; a step-son, Austin Bagwell of Calhoun; a brother and sister-in-law, Vonner and Georgia Meadows of Calhoun; and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Harry Lee (Buster) Meadows will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Charlie Payne officiating. Interment will follow in the Damascus Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 9:00am until the funeral hour of 11:00am.
