Hazel Corn Elliott

Mrs. Hazel Corn Elliott, age 73 of Woodstock, died Saturday, August 04, 2007 at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.

Mrs. Elliott was born on October 05, 1934 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Jasper C. Corn and Lola Corn. She was a homemaker and had grown up in the Church of God.

Mrs. Elliott is survived by her husband, Joseph Leroy Elliott of Shannon, to whom she was married for 49 years; two daughters; Lisa Nye and her husband, Rick of Woodstock, and Jenny Elliott of Douglasville; two sons; Dwayne Elliott and Darrin Elliott of Shannon; three sisters; Ida Johnson of Dahlonega, Rosa Shope of Salisbury, North Carolina and Bonnie Shope of Dalton; grandchildren; Josh Burtz, Jessica Elliott, J.J. Nye, Nick Brady, Chasity Hite, Sammy Hite, Jody Wlliott, Chris Elliott, Heather Nye, Jacob Brady, Casey Elliott and Karen Brady; and great grandchildren; Jaden Tucker and Georgia Hite. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Corn Elliott will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. James Shope officiating. Singing will be arranged by Chasity, Casey, Karren, Jessica and Donna Shope . Pallbearers serving will include grandsons, Nick Brady, Jacob Brady, Jody Elliott, Chris Elliott, J.J. Nye and Sammy Hite. Burial will follow the service in the Craneater Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Sunday evening during the hours of 6:00pm until 9:00pm. The family requests that flowers be omitted and contributions be made to Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home in memory of Mrs. Elliott.
