Helen Sheriff Bailey

Mrs. Mary Helen Sheriff Bailey, age 62 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday March 31, 2012 at her residence following several months of declining health. She was born in Gordon County on April 5, 1949, daughter of the late Sam and Josie Hobgood Pack.

Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by four brothers, Bud Pack, Sambo Pack, Marvin "Benny" Pack and Curtis Pack; and four sisters, Shirley Weeks, Janie Greeson, Louise Mulkey and Eva Lou Allen.

Survivors include her husband of 11 years, Robert "Larry" Bailey; three daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Al James of Summerville, Mona and Michael Beal of Fairmount, and Patti Hall and James Ben Karr of Sugar Valley; a sister, Faye Sales of Brunswick, GA; two brothers, Jackie Pack and Raymond Pack, both of Calhoun; grandchildren, Matthew Beal, Amanda Sheriff, Mackenzie Beal, Brittany Beal, Ashley James and Alex James; great grandchildren, Jaelen Hope Watson, "Mary Elen", Kenslyn Jade Beal and Benjamin Daniel Williams; special nieces, Pat Mulkey and Michelle Marion; and special hospice nurse, Jerri Kidd.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mary Helen Sheriff Bailey will be conducted Monday at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Quarles officiating. Burial will follow in the Chandler Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Matthew Beal, Mackenzie Beal, Michael Beal, Al James, Jackie Pack and Buddy Pack. Honorary pallbearers are Norman Pack, Rickey Pack, James Ben Karr, Donnie Mulkey, Terry Mulkey, Ethan Watson, and the members of the United Hospice Group.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Sunday April 1, after 6:00pm.
