Henry Clayton Parker

October 12, 1945 — January 4, 2010

Mr. Henry Clayton Parker, age 64 of Chatsworth, passed away Monday, January 4, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Gilmer County on October 12, 1945, son of the late James Francis and Rhoda Ider Stokes Parker. During his lifetime, he was employed in the textile industry, and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Michael Babb, and Kimberlee and Junior Redwine, all of Dalton; two brothers, William Parker of Chatsworth, and Rev. Clifford Parker and his wife Claudia of the Oostanaula community; and three sisters, Viola Holliday and her husband Doc of Sonoraville, Priscilla Freestone of Live Oak, Florida, and Dixie Boswell of the Oostanaula community. Grandchildren surviving include TaLisa Kirby, JoAnna Kirby, Michael Babb, Jr., Stephanie Babb, Matthew Redwine, and Nathan Redwine.

Funeral services for Mr. Henry Clayton Parker will be conducted Thursday, January 7th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Maynard Thomas and Rev. Donnie Mattila officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Roy Lee Redwine, Greg Cooper, Bill Howard, Daniel Howard, Anthony Jackson, and Tracy Jackson. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home Thursday at 1:15pm. Honorary pallbearers will include Ralph Redwine, Cliff Baldwin, Kenneth Wilson, Mickey Rogers, and Larry Wilson.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
