Henry Joseph Shontell

Mr. Henry Joseph Shontell, age 79 of Adairsville, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Wappingers Falls, New York on December 24, 1930, son of the late Walter and Jennifer Tydeski Shontell.

Mr. Shontell was a veteran, having served his country in the United States Navy from 1948 through 1957, and had retired from Eastern Airlines as a freight agent.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Shontell of Marietta, and Bobby Carter of Adairsville; two daughters, Jennifer Shontell of Adairsville, and Jamie Kelso and her husband Jerry of Bremen, GA; and two grandchildren, Angel and Mercedes Carter. Friends Nicole and Christopher Carter, and other relatives also survive.

A memorial service for Mr. Henry Joseph Shontell will be conducted Friday, March 26 at 11:30am from the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, with military honors.
