Herman Walter Stafford

Mr. Herman Walter Stafford, age 64 of Davis Jones Road, Chatsworth, died Wednesday, December 24th at Hamilton Medical Center following six months declining health.

Mr. Stafford was born in Gordon County on March 19, 1944, son of the late Horace and Dexter Pullum Stafford, and was a farmer.

Mr. Herman Walter Stafford is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda Sloan Davis; three sisters, Mary Dean of Dalton, and Betty Fagla and Jeanette Carnes, both of Chatsworth, GA; five brothers, Howard Stafford and Ralph Stafford, both of Dalton, Grady Stafford and Carl Stafford both of Resaca, and Gordon Stafford of Chatsworth. Nieces and nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Herman Walter Stafford will be held on Saturday December 27th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jimmy Hogan and Rev. Billy Tatum officiating. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Jody Slaughter, Alan Slaughter, Michael Stafford, Roy Stafford and Ricky Dean. Honorary pallbearers serving will include Charles Hawkins, Ray Plemmons, Terry Stafford and David Stafford.

The family will receive friends Friday December 26th after 4:00 PM at the funeral Home.
