Horace Lee Mcarthur

Horace Lee McArthur, 82, of Calhoun died Saturday, November 18, 2017. He was born in Canton, GA on July 28, 1935, son of the late Lee and Rebecca McArthur. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lilian McArthur and a son-in-law, Terry Cantrell in 2016.
Horace is survived by his wife, to whom he would have celebrated 61 years of marriage to on December 21st, Ellen McCary McArthur; a son, Tom McArthur and his wife Nancy of Calhoun; a daughter, Anne Cantrell of Adairsville; grandchildren, David Cantrell of Calhoun, Rusty Cantrell of Adairsville, Allen Cantrell of Calhoun, Daniel McArthur of Calhoun, and Weston McArthur of Calhoun; brothers, Truman McArthur of Palmetto, GA and Danny McArthur of Acworth, GA; a sister, Odeen Banken of Harriman, TN; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, November 21st at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Eddie Brannon will officiate. Burial will follow at Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are David Cantrell, Rusty Cantrell, Allen Cantrell, Daniel McArthur, Weston McArthur, and Kenneth Geving. Honorary pallbearers serving are Dickie Bone, Bill Dempsy, Nick Sainato, Rita McCurdy, and Diane Parr.
The McArthur family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 20th from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
