Howard Crawford

Mr. Howard Crawford, 91 of Calhoun, died Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Gordon Health Care. He was born in Gordon County on November 14, 1924, son of the late Virgil and Mattie Holden Crawford; and was also preceded in death by a son, Carl Crawford; and a grandson, Michael Crawford.
Mr. Crawford was retired from Mohawk Industries, and was a member of Crane Eater Community Church. He was an avid fisherman, NASCAR fan, and baseball fan.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Howard Crawford, Kenneth and Dottie Crawford, and Mitchell and Melissa Crawford; his daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Scotty Burchett; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Helen Crawford; a sister, Betty Sue Crawford; grandchildren, Dylan Crawford, Heather Jordan, Terra Smith, Cody Burchett, Josh Freeman, Amanda Crawford, and Tina Kimbrall; and great-grandchildren, Reid Smith, Laney Burchett, Axel Jordan, and Miranda Jordan.
Honoring Mr. Crawfords wishes, his body will be cremated. A memorial graveside service and inurnment will be held on Sunday, November 13th at 3:00 PM from Crane Eater Cemetery, with Pastor Sammy Hall officiating.
