Howard Homer Adcock

August 2, 1949 — February 7, 2012

Mr. Howard Homer Adcock, age 62 of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. He was born in Bartow County, GA on August 2, 1949, son of the late Fain and Agnes Gertrude Burnette Adcock.

Mr. Adcock had been employed in management in the textile industry, and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Walraven Adcock of the residence; two sons, Adam Adcock and his wife Jennifer, and Andrew Adcock, all of Calhoun; two daughters, Paula Elrod of Dalton, and Holly Holland and her husband Aaron of Ft. Campbell, KY; a sister, Brenda King and her husband Dave of Pineville, NC; two grandchildren, Chelsea Elrod and Noah Holland; a nephew, Ricky Barger; a niece, Scarlette VanHoffan; and a close friend, Eugene Brown of Cartersville. Other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Howard Homer Adcock will be held Friday, February 10th at 11:00am from the Concord Baptist Church, with Rev. Sammy Allen and Rev. Jerry Boston officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Music will be arranged by Wayne Boston. Active pallbearers will include Tim Walraven, Joey Fowler, Cody Walraven, Rick Barger, William VanHoffan, and Isaiah Jackson. Eugene Brown will be honorary pallbearer.

The Adcock family will receive friends at Concord Baptist Church on Thursday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
