Mr. Milbern Bryan age 77 of Calhoun died early Saturday in Floyd Medical Center resulting from a stroke.
Mr. Bryan was born in Etowah, TN on February 18th, 1935 son of the late Ola Bryan Harkins. He owned and operated a construction company for many years and previously had been employed by Raymond King Construction and Fox and Brindle Construction. He was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Myrtle Roberison Bryan in 1993 and by two brothers, Wendell Harkins and Gary Harkins.
He is survived by his wife, Wylene Towe Bryan and one daughter, Judy Bryan Amonett and her husband Earl and two sons, James Bryan and his wife Donna and Jason Bryan and his wife Kathy all of Calhoun. Three stepdaughters, Brenda Daniel, Shelia Padgett and Pam Newton and one stepson, Randy Towe. Grandchildren, Amy Bryan Agnew, Jaren, Makenna, Madelyn, Maggie Beth and Jaden Bryan, Kimberly, Scott and Amy Silvers, Glenn and Jana Ballinger, Scott and Sherri Amonett, Vickie Amonett and Lisa and Kenny McGill. Great-Grandchildren: Eli and Hayden Agnew, Cody Lovingood, Blake Ware, Brody Silvers, Belle Silvers, Kalley and Tatum Ballinger. One sister, Glenda Davis and her husband Jackson of Resaca and two brothers; Ed Harkins and his wife Donna of Resaca and Dub Harkins and his wife Pearl of Crandall. A number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Milbern Bryan will be conducted Monday September 24th at 1:00 from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Hunt and Rev. Roger Stover officiating. Lisa McGill is in charge of the music. Interment will follow in Crane Eater Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Danny and Scott Amonett, Joey Newton, Donald Padgett, William Daniel Jr., Timmy Daniel and Clifford Daniel.
The Bryan family will receive friends Sunday evening between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home.
