Obituary

Eugene Holloway, 78, of Calhoun, Georgia died Thursday, June 23, 2022, after several months of declining health. He was born on April 12, 1944, in Sweetwater, Tennessee to the late Lester and Marie Hudgins Holloway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Holliday; daughters, Amy Holloway- Lott and Rita Holliday; brother, Robert "Bobby" Holloway.
Eugene loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and he was a member of Hall Memorial Baptist Church. He proudly served his Country in the United States Army. He retired from Beaulieu of America after 38 years of dedicated service.
He is survived by his loving wife Ella Sue Holloway, whom he loved and adored, for a supportive and devoted 39 years; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra (Roger) Miller, Julie (Greg) Watson, Anita Wooten, and Virginia Holliday; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their families also survive.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be conducted on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at 2:00 pm from Hall Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Matthew McHugh officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview at Hall Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors. Pallbearers are, Terrence Litchfield, Mike Hewlett, Joseph Lamaster, Tommy Lamaster, C.D. Wooten, and Greg Watson. Honorary Pallbearers, Harry Edwards, Albert Edwards, Joe Edwards, Charlie Edwards, and Michael Edwards.
