Hugh Edwards

Mr. Houston Archie (Hugh) Edwards, age 78 of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Gordon County, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at his residence.

He was born on May 20, 1931 in Bartow County, Georgia, son of the late James Walter Edwards and Lillie Mae Waters Edwards. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Lucy Bass, and three brothers, Raymond Edwards, George Edwards and Grady Edwards. During his lifetime he served his country with the United States Army, and retired as an agent for the United States Central Intelligence Agency. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Houston Archie (Hugh) Edwards will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11:00am from the Russell Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday at 9:00am until time to depart to the Russell Hill Cemetery for the graveside service.
