Hugh Milton Hale

Mr. Hugh Milton Hale, age 65 of Calhoun, passed away Friday, December 18, 2009 at Calhoun Health Care Center. He was born on January 8, 1944 in Bartow County, son of the late Newt and Ollie Vaughn Hale. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Eva Lucille Ellis Hales. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and worked in the textile industry.

Mr. Hale is survived by a daughter, Vickie Roberts and her husband Jesse, Jr. of Chatsworth; a stepdaughter, Betty Bean; a stepson, Lamar Southerland; two sisters, Mildred Hale of Sonoraville, and Ellen Leonard of Calhoun; and two brothers, Melvin Hale of Hampton, and Lawrence Hale of Sonoraville. Three grandchildren, Tabetha Roberts, Amy Roberts, and Josh Roberts; and several step grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Hugh Milton Hale will be conducted Monday at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in the Sugar Valley Church of God Cemetery.

The family will begin receiving friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday after 6:00pm.
