Quinton Hunter Nations, age 18 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Emory University Hospital following several months of declining health. He was born in Whitfield County, GA on August 4, 1995, son of Anthony Nations and Barbie Rankin.
In addition to his mother and father, Hunter is survived by a brother, Cory Rankin of Calhoun; a sister and brother-in-law, Brittni and Billy Reams of Tallahassee, Florida; grandparents, Linda Rankin of Calhoun and Carolyn Nations of Rome; aunts and uncles, Laura Rankin, Lee and Judy Rankin of Calhoun, and Scott Nations of Rome; nieces and nephews, Emma Reams and Landon Reams; and cousins, Cody Rankin, Morgan Avery, and Paige and Seth Roland, all of Calhoun.
Funeral services for Quinton Hunter Nations will be held Sunday, February 16th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Bernie Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Cory Rankin, Cody Rankin, Billy Reams, Noah Bingiel, Andrew Bingiel, Ryan Bohannon, Garrett King, and Brandon Averette. These gentlemen are requested to assemble at the funeral home Sunday at 1:15 PM.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
