Obituary

Mrs. Inez (Fisher) Daniel, age 87 of the Newtown Community, Calhoun, died Tuesday, August 25, 2020, in Gordon Health and Rehabilitation following several years of declining health.
Mrs. Daniel was born in Gordon County, GA on November 6, 1932, daughter of the late Tom and Mary Alton Fisher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 70 years, William S. (Cowboy) Daniel on April 3, 2020, a daughter and son-in-law; Joann Daniel Roberts and her husband Anthony, sons; Jimmy Daniel, Charles Daniel, David Daniel, and Greg Daniel, and a brother; Jessie Fisher Sr. She was a lifelong resident of Gordon County and retired from Shaw Industries, was a member of New Zion Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include; three sons; William S. Daniel Jr (Brenda), Thomas Daniel (Tammy) and Johnny Daniel (Shelia) all of Calhoun, Her grandchildren; Lekita Gentry, Timmy Daniel, Clifford Daniel, Donna Starr, Dina Weaver, Tony Roberts, Shane Roberts, Bradley Roberts, Haley Lock, and Emily Daniel, a daughter-in-law; Sue Daniel, a sister-in-law; Mary Fisher. Several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Inez (Fisher) Daniel will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Bearden, Rev. Gene Smith, and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers serving will include; Clifford Daniel, Timmy Daniel, Bradley Roberts, Tony Roberts, Payton Daniel, and Jacob Whittemore.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at the funeral home between the hours of 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the desire to keep everyone safe, masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be observed
