Ivan Andres Gonzalez de Oro

Ivan Andres Gonzalez de Oro, 26, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 27, 2024. He was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, on August 16, 1997, to Carmelo Gonzalez and Mercedes de Oro.

Ivan was a happy person. He was described as always smiling, being a joker, friendly, and a dreamer. He was an excellent brother, uncle, and son. He had a passion for music and enjoyed soccer. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Ivan’s relentless desire to succeed at all costs was a torch of inspiration for all of those who heard him speak; he loved to spend time with his family and friends and rejoiced in their successes and accomplishments. His discipline in everything he did was one of the many things for which Ivan was admired.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Oscar Ivan Gonzalez and Juan Camilo Gonzalez; sisters, Irina Gonzalez, Leidy Gonzalez, Cindy Gonzalez, and Milagro Gonzalez.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
