Mr. Jack Corn, age 62 of Chatsworth, died Friday, June 21, 2013 at Hamilton Medical Center following several weeks of declining health. He was born in Gordon County on September 27, 1950, son of the late Oliver and Verna Estelle Cooper Corn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Corn and Wilber Corn; and a sister, Barbara Payne.
During his lifetime, Jack was self-employed as an auto mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Gravitt Corn; three sons, Tim Corn and Randy Corn of Chatsworth, and Jacky Corn of North Carolina; two daughters, Sheila Mayhorn of North Carolina, and Rachael Corn of Chatsworth; step-children, John Pack, Lamar Pack, Sherry Pack, and Dianne Pack, all of Chatsworth; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Cindy Corn of Canton, and Luke and Charlotte Corn of Calhoun; and two sisters, Betty Payne and her husband Donald of Canton, and Lisa Corn of Dalton. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Jack Corn will be held Monday, June 24th at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Ronnie Nix officiating. Interment will follow in Crane Eater Cemetery.
The Corn family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Sunday after 3:30 pm.
