Jack Fain

April 2, 1940 — October 13, 2011

Mr. Jack Fain, age 71 of Calhoun, died Thursday morning in Gordon Hospital following three months of declining health. He was born April 2, 1940 to Conaway and Odel Hall Fain.

Mr. Fain was a well known automobile dealer who owned and operated Mitchell Motors, and was formerly employed by the City of Calhoun Water Department. He attended the First Apostolic Ministries Church.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, James Fain and Tommy "Red" Fain; and by two sisters, Louise Silvers and Irene Miller.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Betty Jean Silvers Fain of Calhoun; a son, Mitchell Fain and his wife Connie of Chatsworth; a daughter, Trish Fain Cox and her husband Henry of Calhoun; brothers, Thomas "Boney" Fain of Calhoun, Robert Fain of Calhoun, Ronald Fain of Dalton, and Frankie Fain of Chatsworth; sisters, Vivian Lovingood of Calhoun, and Joann Coggins of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Chad, Justin, and Rachel Cox, and David Fain; and great-grandchildren, Aleah Cox and Clay Cox. Many friends and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00p.m. from the First Apostolic Ministries Church, with Ricky Silvers and Floyd Tenny officiating. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Friday between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
