Jack Lamar Densmore, 72 of Calhoun, died Friday, August 25, 2017 at Gordon Hospital. He was born in Gordon County on February 14, 1945, son of the late Marion C. and Geneva Purcell Densmore.
Jack was a 1963 graduate of Calhoun High School. He was a veteran, serving his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. He was employed with Shaw Industries, Plant 4, for 35 years. He was a member of the Hellion Motorcycle Club, the VFW, and the American Legion.
Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Shelley Densmore of Calhoun, Julie and Michael Walls of Calhoun, and Lindsay Densmore of Atlanta; his brother, Alton Densmore of Calhoun; grandchildren, Caitlin Densmore and Savannah Hensley; and a niece, Benita Densmore.
Services to honor the life of Jack Lamar Densmore will be held Monday, August 28th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park, with Chaplain Walter Printup officiating. Pallbearers serving will include Jerry Moore, Donald Dempsey, Wade Russell, John Fluegge, Darrell Humphery, and Bill Dempsey. Honorary pallbearers are members of the American Legion, Post 47.
The Densmore family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 27th from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
