Jackie Self

Mrs. Jackie Lou Self, age 81 of Smyrna, Georgia and formerly of Gordon County, died Friday, November 18, 2011 at Calhoun Health Care Center.

She was born on July 24, 1930 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Lewis Edward Ivey and Alta Mae Davis Ivey. She was also preceded in death by a son, Neal Self.

Survivors are a daughter, Cookie Craven and her husband Arnold of White, Georgia; three sons, David Self of Smyrna, Joe Self of Adairsville, and Adam Hipps of Douglasville; four grandchildren, Kevin Self, Kale Self, Decie Self and Melissa Crockett; and seven great grandchildren, Avery Self, Mason Self, Sarah Ann Self, John Self, Matthew Self, Anna Self and Megan Self. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jackie Lou Self will be conducted Sunday, November 20, 2011 at 1:30 pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday at 12:30 pm until the funeral hour. Cremation will follow the memorial service.
