Jackie Woodrow Holden

Mr. Jackie Woodrow Holden, age 77 of Calhoun, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Gordon Health Care following a brief illness. He was born in Gordon County on September 26, 1935, son of the late Roy and Lovell Crump Holden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Joyce Sherrill Holden.

Mr. Holden had been employed in the textile industry with Lawtex Carpet Mills. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Resinald Seabolt of Calhoun; three brothers, Billy Holden of Trenton, GA, Donnie Holden of Calhoun, and Ronnie Holden of Dalton; and three sisters, Sarah Kinsey, Betty German, and Diane Hayes, all of Calhoun. A grandchild, Christy Parker; a great-grandchild, Hayden Jackson; and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Jackie Woodrow Holden will be held Wednesday, June 12th at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in United Memorial Gardens in Whitfield County.

The Holden family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 10:00 am until the funeral hour.
