Obituary
Jacqueline (Jackie) Garmon Mullinax, 78, of Calhoun, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, February 2, 2022. She was born on February 18, 1943 in Cherokee County, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents; Herman and Annie Lee Pope Garmon, sister and brother in law, Shirley and Charlie Vann Shiflett, and infant sister, Sarah Jane.
Jackie was a longtime, faithful member of Echota Baptist Church, where she served in many roles throughout the years.
Jackie is survived by her husband of 59 years, Thomas J. Mullinax: sons and daughter-in-laws, Todd Mullinax (Shelly), Tony Mullinax( (Jamie); grandchildren, Lacey Mullinax, Matthew (Madison) Mullinax, Allison (Casey) Hill; Anna Grace Mullinax: great-grandchildren, Russell Mullinax and another great grandson due in May.
Jackie was a 1961 graduate of Cedartown High School and the 1960 Homecoming Queen.
Prior to retirement, she was employed by Crown Craft and Leggs Hanes Bali.
She was a dedicated sister, wife, mother, and grandmother and brought a smile to everyone she met.
She enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, helping children, and spending quality time with her family, whom she loved dearly. She always put her family before her self.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation in the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home at 2:00 with speakers Dr. Lucas Butler and Todd Mullinax. Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service include; Matthew Mullinax, Tate Moore, Casey Hill, Micheal Langston, Dwight Fuller, and Bryan Dillard.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Gordon Hospital for the care that was given to their mother.
