Mrs. Jacquelyn "Granny" Ralston, age 76 of Resaca, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Fulton County, Georgia on May 19, 1932, daughter of the late Thomas and Maudie Kate Ford Hall. Mrs. Ralston was a retired Postmaster with the US Postal Service. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, James Thomas Hall.
Survivors include her husband of seven years, Charlie Ralston of Resaca; two daughters, Vicki Curry of Ranger, and Donna Duncan and her husband Keith of White; a sister, Sheilah Beasley of Weedowee, Alabama; six grandchildren, Nikki Curry, Jeff Perkerson, Rosa Duncan, April Duncan, Shane Curry, and Shannon Curry; and three great-grandchildren, Brett, Blake, and Mattie Curry.
A memorial service for Mrs. Jacquelyn Ralston will be held Sunday, November 9 at 3:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Eddie Brannon and Minister Ron Namanny officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
In lieu of floral tributes, the family requests contributions be made in Mrs. Ralston's name to a local unit of the American Cancer Society.
