Obituary

James Arnold Mooney, 63, of Calhoun, Georgia died Wednesday, July 22, 2020. He was born on December 12, 1956 in Canton, Georgia to Arnel T. Mooney and the late Bessie McLure Cox. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Mooney.
James worked as a truck driver for Shaw for many years and was a Jack-of-all-trades, who could do anything with his hands. He was a member of Sonoraville Baptist Chruch.
He is survived by his son, Joshua Drew Mooney (Alaina); his daughter, Olivia J. Bowling; his brother, Jimmy Mooney; his sister, Dorothy Woodall (Woody); grandchildren, Kiley, Graeme, Lachlan, and Allister. He is also survived by several step-children and step-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 25, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Jamey Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Sonoraville Baptist Church Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, it is requested that social distancing guidelines be followed and masks be worn.
