Mr. James Hulend Pasley, age 68 of the Union Grove Community, died Monday, February 1, 2016 at his home following a period of declining health. He was born in Gordon County on January 24, 1948, son of the late G.W. Pasley and the late Bernice Smith Fuller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Worley Pasley; and brothers, Paul Pasley, Gordon Pasley, Bill Pasley, and Oneal Pasley.
During his lifetime, James had been employed with Shaw Industries, and had retired from Mannington.
He leaves behind his sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Donna Pasley of Adairsville, Steve and Rachel Pasley of Calhoun, and Mickey and Regina Pasley of Adairsville; a brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Rose Pasley of Adairsville; a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Clyde McEntyre of Calhoun; grandchildren, Jillian Jeffords, Tiffany Pasley, and Stephanie Pasley; step-grandchildren, Aaron Brookshire and Camaryn Brookshire; a great-grandchild, Jackson Pasley; and special family friend, Susan Pasley.
Services to honor the life of Mr. James Hulend Pasley will be held Thursday, February 4th at 2:00 PM from the Union Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Clyde McEntyre and Mike Bunch officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Tony Gunn, Corey Evans, Jerry Sutton, Ken Hart, Mark Bunch, and Sam Witt. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Bunch, Bobby Bunch, Robert Smith, James Franklin, Dale Davis, and Harvey Gowens.
The Pasley family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 3rd from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
