Mr. James "Jimmy" Edward Goss, 71 of Calhoun, died Thursday, December 24, 2015. He was born in Gordon County on November 28, 1944, son of the late Ralph Wayne Goss and Janie Franklin Goss.
Mr. Goss was a truck driver for Textile Rubber and Chemical Inc for over forty years. He loved all the hours he spent riding his John Deere and reading his bible. He was a member of Welcome Gap Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Romell White Goss; sons, Lee Parm, Mickey Goss and his wife Kim, Jeff Parm, Josh Goss and his wife Tonia Davis, and Isaiah Goss; daughters, Jacqueline Goss, Kim Hunter and her husband Johnny, and Angie Murray; a sister, Linda Addis; a special friend, Penny Stinnett; grandchildren, Sierra, Donnie, Dillion, Derrick, Lacey, Bubba, Cody, Jacob, Laurann, Ashley, John, Izzy, Sully, Curtis, Kyle, Michael, April, Christy, Tiffany, Johnny Jr., Johnny Lee, Allison, and Katie; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Services for Mr. James "Jimmy" Edward Goss will be held Monday, December 28th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Greg Williams, and Rev. Michael Clark officiating. A eulogy will be given by Josh Goss. Interment will follow at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Kevin Banks, William Gallagher, Cody Goss, Bubba Martin, Josh Goss, and Jeff Parm. Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The Goss family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 27th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
