James R. "Junior" Mann

Mr. James R. "Junior" Mann, 55 of Resaca, died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at his home. He was born in Summerville, GA on May 22, 1960, and was preceded in death by his father, James M. Mann; his mother and step-father, Dorothy Faye Davis and James Albert Davis; a sister, Jeannie Siffles; and his son, Jamie Thomas Mann on January 17, 1981.

Junior was a member of Meadowdale Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Beverly Wood Mann; daughters, Peggy Renee Stinson, and Stephanie Mann and her husband James Brock; a brother, Billy Mann; a sister, Shirley Sheperd; grandchildren, Mason, Nolan, Kaylee, and Logan; and step-grandchildren, Jacob and James.

Services to honor the life of Mr. James R. "Junior" Mann will be held Friday, March 4th at 1:00 PM from the Welcome Gap Baptist Church, with Rev. Greg Williams officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 12:00 noon until the service hour. Interment will follow at the family residence. Pallbearers will include Cody Aydcock, Joe Burke, Quincy Fain, Timothy Wood, Shane Holloway, and Paul Bates.

The Mann family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Thursday, March 3rd from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
