James Wesley Ratterree

Mr. James Wesley Ratterree, age 68 of the White Graves community, Ranger, GA died Monday, November 14, 2011 at his residence following several months of declining health. He was born in Fulton County, GA on March 16, 1943, son of the late George and Flossie Mae Whitman Ratterree. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Lillie Lewis.

Mr. Ratterree moved to Gordon County from Cobb County 15 years ago, and had been employed in the construction industry.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Dolly Mae Lewis Ratterree; three daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Dewayne Junkins of Ranger, Debbie and Troy Jennings of Calhoun, and Tammy and Keith Turner of Waco, GA; three brothers, William Ratterree and his wife Joanne of Texas, Thomas Ratterree and his wife Candy of Austell, GA, and Clifford Ratterree of Marietta, GA; and three sisters, Virginia Jacobs of Emerson, GA, Geneva Bishop and her husband James of Marietta, and Nancy Loner of Texas. Grandchildren surviving are Dewayne Junkins, Jr., Teresa Turner, Jessica Turner, Amber Turner, Kimberly Owens, and Justin Junkins; and great-grandchildren, Deandre Daniel, William Owens, Dirk Junkins, Mason Daniel, Mya Daniel, Connor Daniel, Kamirah Daniel, Nicholas Owens, and Lily Junkins.

Funeral services for Mr. James Wesley Ratterree will be held Wednesday, November 16th at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Active pallbearers are Dewayne Junkins, Jr., Justin Junkins, Keith Turner, Dewayne Junkins, Troy Jennings, and Josh Owens. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Springfield, Buster Berry, Jeff Keown, and Stanley Bishop.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 4:00pm until 9:00pm.
