James William Linn

James William Linn, 72, of Adairsville passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014. He was born in Gordon County on February 1, 1942, son of the late William "Bill" Linn and Ruby Mathis Linn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great niece, Kassidy Helmholtz.

James was retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

He leaves behind a sister, Ruth Linn Fouts and her husband Gene Fouts of Adairsville; two nieces, Sonja Helmholtz and her husband Keith Helmholtz of Ooltewah, TN and Heather Goforth and her husband Kevin Goforth of Powder Springs; six great nieces, Caitlinn Helmholtz, Skyler Helmholtz, Samantha Helmholtz, Kiersten Helmholtz, Sarah Goforth, and Alexis Goforth.

Services to celebrate the life of James William Linn will be held Friday, December 5th at 1:00 PM at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Burgner officiating. Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Kevin Goforth, Keith Helmholtz, Tim Reeve, Brian Gilbert, Brad Turner, and Shane Carney. Honorary pallbearers serving are Rodney Mathis, Roger Mathis, Troy Dutton, and Anthony Moss. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church building fund.

The Linn family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
