August 25, 1939 — October 2, 2024

Janet Hanson Bradley, affectionately known as MawMaw, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, at the age of 85 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living, Calhoun, Georgia. Born on August 25, 1939, in Cartersville, Georgia, she was the daughter of Abner Hanson and Jessie Presley Hanson.

Janet was a proud mother to five children: Dennis Burnette and his wife Bonnie, Mike Bradley and his wife Lisa, Tracey Bradley and her partner Anna, Spencer Bradley and his wife Louise, and Sarah Carver and her husband Larry. She was a loving grandmother to 19 grandchildren: Josh, Jessica, Jennifer, Michael, Madison, Ruth, Peter, Nicole, Dustin, Amber, Heather, Brandon, Anna, Daniel, Kaci, Sean, Jacob, Kyle, Chad, and Gracie. Special aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

A dedicated worker, Janet retired after many years as a binder at Cabin Crafts/Shaw Industries. Mawmaw cherished gatherings, especially having all the kids together at Christmas, and loved celebrating birthdays; she collected hummingbirds and was renowned for her delicious homemade coconut cake.

Janet is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 39 years, Jimmy "Louie" Bradley, along with her parents, her twin sister Jean, and her brothers Junior and Troy. Her quick wit and feistiness will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to thank those who loved and cared for her in recent months. The entire staff at Morning Pointe Assisted Living, Compassionate Companions sitters, and Home Spun Hospice. Thank you for loving her as much as we did.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
