Janice Davis

Janice Rose Davis, 61, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.  She was born in Loudon, Tennessee on July 22, 1962, to the late Paul and Sue Mullins Thompson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joey Russell Davis; brother-in-law, Ronnie Gregory.

She is survived by her husband, with whom she had celebrated their 43^rd wedding anniversary on September 6, Joey Davis; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Derek Cabe; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Tina Thompson; sister, Carolyn Gregory; grandchildren, Elliot Cooper, Emmett Cooper; nephew, David Young.

Janice was a Godly woman and was for many years a member of Welcome Gap Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.  She had recently attended Calvary Baptist Church.  She was an avid collector of stamps and coins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons with Rev. Larry Hayes officiating.  The Welcome Gap Singers are in charge of music.  Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Memorial Park.
