Jean Aycock

June 24, 1944 — November 3, 2008

Mrs. Shelba Jean Aycock, age 64 of Calhoun, passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 at Gordon Health Care. She was born on June 24, 1944 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Melvin and Minnie Lois Kay Pendley. Mrs. Aycock had been employed in the textile industry with Horizon Industries, and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Cindy Aycock of Sugar Valley; a daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Kenneth Chapman, Jr. of Calhoun; a sister, Edna Baker of Sonoraville; three grandchildren, Jake Aycock, Kimberly Lambert, and Ken Chapman; and two great grandchildren, Rebecca Lambert and Kevin Lambert.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shelba Jean Aycock will be conducted Wednesday, November 5 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Phillips and Rev. Jimmie Timms officiating. Interment will follow in the Blackwood Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Larry Johnston, Cole Johnston, Jake Aycock, Ken Chapman, Mark Phillips, and Robert Paris. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
