Jean Brookshire

Mrs. Wilma Jean Brookshire, age 80 of Ranger, GA died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Gordon County on August 7, 1934, daughter of the late Clemon and Berta Lee Green Hancock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Brookshire in 1996; brothers, John, Clayton, Curtis, and Jacky Hancock; a sister, Annie Mae Owens and her husband Ellis; and brothers-in-law, James Goble, Carlbert Cox, and Ray Patterson.

Mrs. Brookshire attended Holiness Church of Jesus Christ and Freedom House of Worship.

She leaves behind a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and David Pack of Ranger; brothers, Gary Hancock and his wife Nancy of Calhoun, Clarence Hancock of Fairmount, David Hancock of Fairmount, and Steve Hancock of Tennessee; sisters, Dymple Townsend and her husband Arvil of Fairmount, Sue Goble of Fairmount, Nancy Cox of Calhoun, Patsy Patterson of Chatsworth, and Glynese Pierce and her husband Roy of Calhoun; and a God-granddaughter, Kaylie Hall. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Wilma Jean Brookshire will be held Saturday, February 28th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard Pack and Rev. Chris Pack officiating. Music will be arranged by Traveling by Faith. Interment will follow in Fairview Church of God Cemetery in Oakman. Pallbearers serving will include Bobby Patterson, Chad Cochran, Brad Cochran, Zachary Cochran, Kevin Mulkey, and Charles Owens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday after 4:00 PM.
