Mrs. Jeanette Alford, age 57 of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Fulton County, Georgia on June 2, 1950, daughter of the late John and Mabel Hudson Craft. Mrs. Alford was employed by Mohawk, and was a member of Evangelistic Outreach Ministries.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Misty Simley, and by several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Randy Alford, to whom she was married for almost 10 years; two sons, Johnny Patton and his wife Vicki of Calhoun, and Mark Jones of Dalton; three step-daughters, Crystal Painter, Amanda Roberson, and Brandy Linman, all of Alabama; grandchildren, Amanda and Zane Patton, and Blake Collis; and step-grandchildren, Taylor, Will, and Jayden Roberson, Halen and Bryson Painter, and Brianna and Kaylee Linman. Nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Monday, March 10, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, March 11 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jamey Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the Chandler Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Johnny Patton, Randall Fuquea, Terry Alford, Michael Evans, William Twilley, and Larry Wheeler. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 1:15pm.
