Jeanette Rogers Holbrook, 85, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025. She was born in Gordon County on May 30, 1939, to the late Alvin Rogers and Esther Brumlow Rogers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gene Conwell Holbrook in 2022; daughter, Tammy Holbrook Bowman; sisters, Lenela Rogers Woodson, and Geneva Rogers.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Allison Holbrook, Gary and Kelly Champion, who she considered her son and daughter-in-law; son-in-law, Greg Bowman; brother-in-law, Bob Woodson; sister and brother-in-law, Margurite and Chris Bond; grandchildren, Chase Holbrook, Dawson and Karley Holbrook, Gage Bowman, Tessa and Kyle West; great-grandchild, Everett West; two of her best friends, Maxine Clements and Judy Thomason; and a host of relatives and friends.
Jeanette was a loving friend to all who knew her. She owned and operated “Special Occasions Bridal & Formal Wear” for many years in Calhoun. She made everyone feel special who shopped at her store. After years of serving the community for their special occasions, she transitioned into another stage of life where she resided at Morning Pointe. She spent a lot of her time making sure those around her were taken care of.
The family would like to thank the staff at Morning Pointe for their incredible care.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Grace Church, 401 Peters St, Calhoun, GA 30701.
The funeral service will follow the visitation on Wednesday at 2:00 PM from Grace Church with Rev. Jamey Hunt, Rev. Stacy Hensley, and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Karli Rogers will be in charge of the music. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kyle West, Chase Holbrook, Gage Bowman, Dawson Holbrook, Randy Holbrook, and Tony Holbrook.
