Jerome Smith

Mr. Jerome Smith, age 60 of Adairsville, passed away January 30, 2009 at his residence after several years of declining health. He was born in Gordon County on October 26, 1948, son of the late Willie Lee Smith and Angie Gravitt Smith. Mr. Smith had been employed in the textile industry as a machine operator.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Sheila Joyce Ball Smith; two sons, Jeff Smith and Monte Strickland; two daughters, Denise Self and Christie Long; a brother, Richard Smith; and a sister, Marlin Burk. Five grandchildren also survive.

A private memorial service for Mr. Smith will be conducted at a later date.
