Jerri Whitfield

Mrs. Jerri Whitfield, age 63 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Whitfield County on January 12, 1949, daughter of the late Troy Lee and Emma Parks Richardson.

Jerri was a loving, caring, and Godly woman. She enjoyed scrapbooking and crafting, and prior to her retirement, was a long-time employee of Arby's.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, James Clayton Whitfield; two daughters, Carol Thomas and her husband Danny of Calhoun, and Brandy Whitfield Westbrook of Maine; a brother, Troy Richardson of Texas; a sister, Lynda Wilson of Chatsworth; and two grandchildren, Brianna Thomas and Bryan Thomas. Other survivors include sisters-in-law, Jean Brown Nantz, Sandra Moore and her husband Joe, and Faye Whitfield Davis. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jerri Whitfield will be held Sunday, February 26th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jamey Hunt officiating.

The Whitfield family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jerri's name to the Riverview Baptist Church Building Fund.
