Jerry Daniel White

Mr. Jerry Daniel White, age 71 of Calhoun, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. He was born on July 21, 1941 in Toney, Al, son of the late Lawrence White and the late Katie Mae White. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Anita White who died on September 20, 2012, and a brother James White. Mr. White was a retired corrections officer with the Georgia Department of Corrections at Hayes State Prison. Mr. White was also retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service.

Survivors include three sons, Daniel White of Schentz, TX, James White and his wife Christy of Calhoun, and Jerry White of Calhoun; four daughters, Amanda Duvall and her husband Adam of Calhoun, Rosa Lynda Thomas and her husband Jeremy of Calhoun, Shelia White of Calhoun, Jessica Gilreath and her husband Rodney of Dalonega; five brothers, John White, Henry White, Joseph White, George White, and Thomas White; one sister, Wilma Reed. 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several neices and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Daniel White will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:00a.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Jonathan White officiating. Burial will follow in the Fain Cemetery with full military honors.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00p.m. until 9:00p.m.
