Mr. Jerry M. Pass, 61 of Calhoun, died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at his home, following several years of declining health. He was born in Gordon County on January 23, 1955, son of the late Max and Glenice Pruitt Pass. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Kristen Parker.
Jerry had been employed with Service Chevrolet as Parts Manager, and was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer.
He leaves behind his wife of 19 years, Cynthia Brown Pass; his daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Greg Bennett of Calhoun; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna Parker-Manning and Paul Manning of Calhoun, Avis and Calvin Lee of Cartersville, and Ann and Gerald Mashburn of Calhoun; and grandchildren, Lex Bennett, and Bree Bennett. A nephew, Russell Gavitt of Hiram; an aunt, Jo Carver of Calhoun; and several cousins also survive.
Services to honor the life of Mr. Jerry M. Pass will be held Sunday, June 26th at 2:00 PM from Calhoun First Baptist Church, with Dr. Bert Vaughn, Dr. Brent Davis, and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Ritchie Wright, David Lock, Chan Ross, Greg Hefner, Ben Worley, and Scott Silvers. Honorary pallbearers are past employees of Service Chevrolet.
The Pass family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 25th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
